In 1995, TSM developed a new technology, metal injection molding (MIM), which combines several technologies including materials science, injection molding, mold design, debinding and sintering. The current MIM market at TSM includes computer peripherals, sewing machines, hand tools, and watch bands. TSM now has 14 molding machines and 4 debinding/sintering furnaces.
